Demonstrate the following filing methods: Alphabetic, Alphabetic correspondence, Numeric, Subject, Geographic. Record keeping Accounting terminology. Record petty cash, prepare bank deposits, prepare checks, reconcile bank statements, prepare and match purchase orders. Inventory. Verify employee payroll deductions and maintain documentation. Prepare journal entries and earnings and tax reports. Accounts payable Work with accounts payable records and journals. Prepare and post payment of vendor accounts. Prepare schedules of accounts payable. Use journals and accounts payable ledgers for reconciliation. Accounts receivable Work with accounts receivable records and journals. Apply and post payments.
