To complete his or her Glazier training, a student must master dozens of skills in the following categories:

Safety Procedures
Demonstrate the safe use of hand, air and power tools and related equipment. Understanding of OSHA/HAZMAT regulations. Ability to recognize health and safety hazards associated with glazing tools, equipment, chemicals, etc.

Blueprints, Shop Drawings and Cut Schedules


Shop Fabrication
Cut glass, plastics and store front metals economically from blueprints or drawings. Cut and edge showcase glass and mirrors. Fabricate insulated glass units, replacement windows, door lites, shower doors and screens. Replace glass in doors and windows. Replace hardware.

Welding and Cutting
Set up and safe use of oxyacetylene and welding equipment.
