Involvement
Hire a Job Corps Graduate: Job Corps graduates are ready to go to work and have a strong commitment to their future. They have the skills you need and a strong work ethic. Participate in our Work Based Learning program: Our students need hands-on training and the chance to continue their learning in an actual business. If your company needs assistance with work that would continue to develop our students’ skills, this program may be a good fit. Our students work for no compensation, and transportation is provided by Tongue Point. Join the Industry Council Tongue Point's Industry Council has over 20 members, representing various industries, social service agencies, and employment agencies. The Council focuses on making vocational recommendations to the Centers based on current Labor Market Information. The Council also makes recommendations regarding curriculum and equipment in order to keep each vocation on the cutting edge of the industry, and develops innovative projects and events to emphasize employability skills to the students. The benefits to you include networking with other members of the industry, working with Job Corps to customize training to meet the needs of your business, and maintaining knowledge of current labor market information to help you make decisions within your company. The Industry Council meets twice a year, and we work with our individual members throughout the year. Be a Mentor:
